Maitree is a family drama that is about two best buddies who always wanted to live together and spend the rest of their life together. But when they get a chance, Trials in their lives make them against each other. The main character Maitree goes through a lot of struggles caused by her own best friend Nandini. This drama was telecast on Zee TV under the banner of sunshine production. The central characters of the drama are Sheru Parikh, Bhaweeka Chaudary, Namesh Taneja, and Samarth Jurel.

The drama begins in the childhood era of Nandini and Maitree who were best friends at that time. The drama takes a fifteen years leap. Now you can see a lot of changes have occurred. The two little girls are grown up and married. Nandni is married to Ashish and Maitree is married to Ashish‘s cousin Saransh. The drama takes turns when the four meet in an accident. Saransh lose his life in this accident whereas Nandini fell into a coma.
Moreover, Maitree takes care of his house until Nandni recovers. Nandini has to be great full to her but she turns against her and thinks negatively of her. She wants to throw her out of her house but Ashish stops her as Maitree had done a lot for their family and house. But Nandini gets it in the wrong way and her hate for Maitree enhances. She joins hands with another character.
